Most women have many questions about their pregnancy and pending birth of their child. Whether it is your first baby or you are expecting a new addition to your family, every pregnancy can be different and your Obstetrician can guide you through each journey. Some of our more common questions are answered below, but please get in touch if you have any concerns you’d like to discuss.
What happens if I don’t have private health fund insurance?
I can still see you at the practice. A general fee schedule is available through reception on 07 3188 5000 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Fees will be discussed in detail at your first consultation.
Where do I park?
The closest parking for our practice is the Greenslopes Private Hospital multi-storey visitor carpark. The entrance is on Nicholson Street. Some street parking is also available.
How and when do I book into the hospital to have my baby?
I am happy to see you at any stage of your pregnancy. Booking in early allows us to discuss how best to optimise the health of you and your baby throughout the pregnancy.
Who will deliver my baby?
For planned Caesareans, we will find a time that suits us both so that I can deliver your baby. If you come into labour, I endeavour to be on-call for my own patients during the week. For times when this is not possible and on the weekends, one of the highly skilled team of doctors at Greenslopes Obstetrics and Gynaecology will be on call for you.
Who do I contact if I have an urgent concern?
During regular business hours, contact Greenslopes Obstetrics and Gynaecology on 07 3188 5000. Outside of these hours, please call 3394 7111.
What should I call about?
If you have any concerns, we are only a phone call away. Please call if you feel you need advice or review at the hospital. For example – if you have any bleeding in pregnancy, decreased fetal movements, think your waters might have broken or you might be in labour.
